Varieties grown

A classic variety for the production of white wines, grown by Mr. Müller in Geisenheim in 1882. A cross between Riesling and Madlenka royal. The grapes contain monoterpenic substances, which give this variety a slightly muscatel tone. This variety forms the basis of our vineyards.

Sometimes also referred to as the king of wines. A variety with higher acidity and later ripening. The aroma is often compared to that of a lime blossom. Older wines of this variety may have 'petroleum notes', which are due to the substance TDN (trimethyldihydronaphthalene).

Originally a French variety from the Burgundy wine family, it is a bud mutation of the Pinot Noir variety.

An ancient grape variety, created by a spontaneous bud mutation from Pinot Noir. A very frequently used word in connection with the sensory properties of this grape is bread.

A very old variety, probably cultivated in ancient Rome. The grapes are red and the taste is strongly aromatic and spicy. The aroma of the wine is reminiscent of lychee.

Variety bred in the ŠSV in Polešovice, typical muscat aroma with citrus notes due to high content of monoterpenes.

Interspecific variety bred in Freiburg, Germany. Very early Muscat type variety.

A white interspecific variety from Freiburg, Germany, in crossing, among others, Riesling with Pinot Gris.

An interspecific variety bred by a collective of breeders in Velké Bílovice, or in Perná, created by crossing the Rakiš and Merlan varieties.

Another interspecific variety from Freiburg, a cross between Cabernet Souvignon and Bronner. Wines with fresh acidity and strong aromas.

An old cider variety of unknown origin. The wines are of a lighter type and lower colour.

It is probably a French variety belonging to the Pinot group, most probably a cross between Pinot noir and an as yet unknown variety. The wines are more tannic and darker compared to the Modrý Portugal.

An ancient variety native to the Burgundy region of France. Typical is the brick colour of the wine.

Originally a German variety from Weinsberg. A very prolific variety producing dark-coloured wines.

Another representative of the interspecific varieties from Freiburg, a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Solaris. The wines are Cabernet-type with a distinctive aroma, the young wines are typical for their spiciness.
